Raise the roof...or rather the ceiling :)

So the last step to be completed before starting on the walls...was to tear out the ceiling and replace it.  This was a messy and scary project, but highly neccesary!!  We live in the forest in an 80's mobile home and believe me, the older the mobile home the less structurally sound it was built.  Since our journey in this home, we have heard many a critter in our walls, ceiling, etc. trying to get a refuge from the cold and rain.  That is what is SO GREAT about replacing all the walls and ceiling in this redo.  I also contend that mobile homes were NEVER made to work in the forest.  Too damp... the walls being made of very cheap drywall material, kinda acts like a sponge.  SO....wood it is...walls, ceilings and all!!

I would like to take a minute to gush over my WONDERFUL husband!!  This man has been working full-time and coming home afterwards to do another major improvement, only to make it to the couch to pass out for a few hours before getting up and doing it all over again!!  He is amazing to me and I KNEW he was going to put 110% into this remodel and that it will turn out perfectly, as he is a perfectionist :)  Not to mention, a handy man is a sexy man...to me :)

Now, for the next step....washer and dryer install, which will require another awesome Braukman man to complete.  That should be this weekend!!!!  Finally I will get to start on the walls and organization!!!!  Our little room is coming right along!!!  Now for some pics :)

Goodbye you old soggy ceiling!!

Note the sexy safety glasses.....

So fresh and so clean....ready to white wash :)

Getting better all the time!!  Till next week.....
